Our Story

Let’s go back to 1967 to share where the JRECK school bus (and name!) came from.

Five teachers from Carthage Central High School in New York started selling submarine sandwiches out of an old, converted school bus. Their names were Jerry Haley, Robert Martin, Ellis Martin, Charles Lehman, and Keith Waltz. If you take the first letter of each of their names and put them together, you get the word “JRECK.” Since then, JRECK sub shops have opened across New York serving fresh, made-to-order subs.

Community Impact

At JRECK Subs, we’re more than just great food—we’re dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities we serve. From supporting local schools and hosting fundraisers to providing a gathering place where neighbors connect, we believe in giving back and making a difference.
